路地裏のノラネコたちや、裏庭のウサギの家族に、なんだかちょっとおかしな生き物が混じってなかった？
それはきっと、“オービー”かもね。

[△] TENTI 〜テントみたいな頭を持つ雪山の獣〜
ここに、ある登山家が雪山で遭難したときの事を語った記録がある。
激しい吹雪に視界を閉ざされ、もう駄目かと思い始めたとき、彼は遠くにふたつの灯りを見つけた。
彼は神に感謝した。あれはきっとテントから漏れるランプの光だ。
振り絞るように歩を進め、次第にテントのシルエットが近づいてくると、彼は今度は悪魔を呪った。
彼がテントだと思ったものは、大きな獣の頭であり、ふたつの灯りはその獣の眼であった。
彼はそこで気を失っている。
翌朝、彼がベースキャンプの近くで発見されたことについては、説明に難く奇跡としか言いようがない。
Here is an account of a mountaineer's experience of being lost in the snow.
When he was blinded by a heavy snowstorm and began to think he was lost, he saw two lights in the distance.
He thanked God. They must have been lamps leaking from the tents.
He shuffled along, and as the silhouette of the tent grew closer and closer, he cursed the devil.
What he thought was the tent was the head of a large beast, and the two lights were its eyes.
He passed out there.
The fact that he was found the next morning near the base camp can only be described as a miracle, beyond explanation.
[□] CUBLA 〜立方体の体躯をした農村の害獣〜
ブライアンが語ってくれたのは幼い頃に彼が祖父から聞いた話。
彼の祖父は山深い農村で育ち、貧しい暮らしは作物や家畜を狙う害獣との戦いの日々。
イノシシ、キツネ、イタチやネズミ...たくさんの害獣たちの中で最も彼らを悩ませたのが...“キュブラ”。
角ばった体躯に鋭い歯、ギョロッとした不気味な目。狡猾に罠をすり抜けてはイタズラばかりで村を困らせた。
私はサークルの仲間とその農村に行くことを決めたの。
秋のコンテストでグランプリを獲るために。
そして、この“何者か”に支配されたような毎日を変えるためによ。
Brian told me a story he heard from his grandfather when he was a child.
His grandfather grew up in a mountainous farming village, where the poor lived in constant battle with vermin that attacked crops and livestock.
Wild boars, foxes, weasels, rats... Among the many varmints, the one that bothered them the most was... CUBLA.
With its angular physique, sharp teeth, and ghastly eyes, the CUBLA was the most devious of all the varmints that plagued them. It was a nuisance to the village because of its mischievous ways of cleverly slipping through traps.
I decided to go to that farm village with my circle of friends.
To win the grand prize in the fall contest.
And to change our daily life, which seemed to be under the control of “something”.
